More New Songs

We are currently working on about five new songs. We have finished writing Dumped On The Scrapheap and Garden Of Serenity and are just tightening up on 'em. We also have the legendary Bruce Lee in the pipeline, as well as a track of Ed's called The Devil's Garden, which is a corker. Also on the go is Liars, Cheats, Thieves And Politicians. Hopefully all will be aired at our next gig, whenever that maybe depends on how long it takes to find a new drummer. The Legendary Ajay is standing in at the moment.

We have live rehearsal versions of The God Delusion and Borstal Breakout over on the myspace page, check 'em out as they won't be up for much longer. Once we have resolved the drummer situation we plan to get in the studio and lay down a load of the new stuff.

Drummer Needed

Chris has left the band to pursue other projects so we're on the lookout for a new tubthumper, if you play the drums and fancy giving it a go with The Blissetts just drop us an email via the Contact Us page (Posted by Paul 23/7/08)

Argy Bargy At The Flag This Saturday!

The Blissetts are confirmed to play at The Flag in Watford this Saturday 31st May as support to The Pistols (Sex Pistols Tribute) who we recently played with in Hertford, and the mighty streetpunk urchins Argy Bargy. This gig is an album release party for Argy Bargy's new album 'The Likes Of Us'. This gig will also mark their return from the Vienna Punk Festival. This gig will also mark the official debut of new Blissetts bass boy Ed. Fun starts at 8pm. Full details on the live page. (Posted by Paul 26/5/08)

Ed Blissett

Ed's In, Chunky Goes To The Glue Factory

Chunky has left The Blissetts due to personal commitments. Chunky played his last gig at The Flag for the BOTB Semi-Final having made his leaving announcement during the previous weeks rehearsal on 15th April . Chunky's replacement is Ed (pictured left), who's been trying to get into the band for months. Ed stood in for Chunky at our gig in Brighton last December when we played with Clash tribute act The Trash, Ed's other band, and made such an impression that there wasn't anyone else considered for bass duties when Chunky handed in his notice.

All that's left is for us to thank Chunky for all the help he's given us and all the moods and arguements he's started, which has been quite a few. Cheers Chunks.

TISCALI? Sorry That Should Be TOSSCALI, Not Fit To Wipe Your Arse With!

You may have noticed that this website has just been updated for the first time since early March. This has been due to the incompetence of my internet provider, we'll just call them Tosscali, and their inability to fix a fault. It has taken the morons TWO MONTHS to repair my phone line. If you have been tempted by their current adverts on television offering you 'Award Winning' Broadband, DO NOT BE TEMPTED!! As they really don't give a Tosscali if it all goes pear shaped!

I have been unable to upload vital updates regarding the Marquee gig with the Pistols and the Battle Of The Bands Semi Final due to the utter muppetry of Tosscali. It hardly seems worth it now, but here's a rundown on what's been going on.

Battle Of The Bands Semi Final / Pistols Gig

We played a storming set in the BOTB Semi Final on Tuesday 22nd April at The Flag, however it seems originality counts for nothing these days with the assembled throng opting to vote for a band that sound like a million other bands. We went down well at the gig at Hertford Marquee with The Pistols on Friday 21st March, not one of our best performances, but the audience didn't seem to mind! Cheers to everyone that came out to see us at both gigs. (Posted by Paul 14/5/08)

Battle Of The Bands

The Blissetts are through to the simi-finals of the Battle Of The Bands run by the nice guys at Monkeyboy Promotions. We went through after beating Essay 80 and London Agreement in heat no6 at The Flag in Watford on Tuesday night. We are in the hat for the next round which will also be held at The Flag. date is yet to be confirmed. Thanks to everyone who came down to support us. (Posted by Paul 13/3/08)

Gigs Coming Up!

The Blissetts return to The Flag in Watford this Tuesday, 11th March to partake in Monkeyboy Promo's Battle Of The Bands. This is our first gig at The Flag since we headlined the Idiot Punkfest last August. Come down and show your support, win or lose, we will do what we do and have fun doing it! We will also be playing new song'The God Delusion'.

The Blissetts Vs The Pistols (Sex Pistols tribute)

We play our biggest gig to date at the Hertford Marquee on Friday 21st March. If my memory serves me correctly, that's a bank holiday, so what better than to not go to work, get shit faced, have a good jump around and stick it up to the authorities? There is only 200 odd tickets available, either order online or chance it on the door, for ticket info go to our live page or if you're too bloody lazy, look at the flyer on the left.

Well we finally did it. The Blissetts are back on the live scene. For those that missed it, we headlined the Idiot Punkfest at the Flag in Watford on the August 2007 bank holiday weekend. Website Bovver

As some of you know, I've had trouble updating this website recently, this is due to my webspace provider who managed to get one of their servers hacked. They instigated a password change for all customers and decided to send us new passwords by post. I had literally been locked out of my own website, and after failing to receive the new passwords, then had to endure a three hour phone call to their technical support team. However, it's all sorted now and it's Blissetts business as usual, but I will say to the company involved (and they know who they are) you need to get your shit together! Muppets.
