New Tracks On Myspace!

We've put up three live tracks on our myspace page. We've put up American Empire, complete with the samples and fast bit as I always intended it to be, Nothing To Lose But Our Chains, complete with re-vamped ending a la Chunky style. New track The Death Of Freedom is also up so if you havn't heard it yet, go and check it out!!! (Posted by Paul 1/10/07)

The Blissetts - Yes! We're Back!

Thanks to everyone who came down to the Flag in Watford on Saturday to see The Blissetts return to the live scene at the IDIOT PUNKFEST. Especially to the Watford Massive and the Welwyn/Hertford posse. Also a big shout out to Monkeyboy Promotions for being mad enough to put us on as headliners and to the mighty Jodorowsky's Ape for letting us use their gear. Thanks to The Sindy's, The Jelly Fiends and The Jockstraps for putting on blinding sets. A very special thanks to former Blissetts Gaz and Craig for coming down to show their support and also to my former Crisis Cult cohort Sidney!

We're currently sorting new dates so keep your eyes peeled or join our mailing list. (Posted by Paul 28/8/07)

Finally! A Gig!

After a year and a half since The Blissetts last live performance in January last year, we can now confirm that our glorious comeback will be staged at the Watford Idiot Punkfest at The Flag on Saturday 25th August. We will appear alongside seven other bands, and all for the measly sum of £3.00 to get you in. Full details on the live appearances page. Be there!

We are also awaiting dates and final confirmation for gigs in Brighton and London. More details as we get 'em.

New Stuff

We've been toiling away again, we'll be playing some new stuff at the gig, most notably The Death Of Freedom and the completely-different-to-the-old-one Bone Idol. We've shifted our rehearsals from Farm factory to Graphic Nature where our creative juices are now overflowing. We've currently got more ideas than we know what to do with, however, we're currently penning Bruce Lee, pretty self-explanatory that one. That's all for now, see you on the 25th August! New Track! New Blog!

We've posted a live version of the Sham 69 classic 'Borstal Breakout' over at our myspace site. Click here for that if you don't already know where it is. We just wanted to show that we're still alive and kicking and this is the first recording to feature new sticksmith Chris. Check it out and let us know what you think.

I've also posted a blog, or a 'ranting' if you will, also on the myspace page. Titled 'A Word From The Blissetts Vocalist' it's about what's been going on with the band for the past year or so. So go have a read.

Gig Cancelled

We have pulled out of the gig at Noah's Ark which was to take place this Sunday (27th May) as we want to take another month or so to nail down some new material and sharpen ourselves up a bit more. We should be back in live action by the end of July. (Posted by Paul 22/5/07)

New Drummer Sorted

We have successfully found a new drummer to replace long standing sticks bod Gaz. His name is Chris, he's big, he's hairy and he can certainly bloody play the drums! He once headbutted the short arse vocalist out of Cradle Of Filth, respect. (Posted by Paul 7/5/07)

What Doesn't Kill You..................

April has been a month of utter termoil for us, amongst others, we've had quitting drummers, root canal surgery, vocalist with a chest infection, (insert next excuse here.......) and we've generally had a real sod of a time! But being the eternal optomists we are, we're still here, we're still having fun and we're still gonna get on your case and in your face.

Bye Bye Gaz

Our long standing drummer Gaz has left the band. The reasons for Gaz's departure are probably best left unsaid and we'd like to thank him for all the time he has spent with us and for all the hard work he put into the band since he joined in December '05. We are currently auditioning replacements.

Noah's Ark Gig On Sunday 27th May

As far as we're concerned, or until Simon tells us otherwise, our planned gig at Noah's Ark (near Shefford, which is near Stevenage) on Sunday 27th May is still on. Full details will be posted as soon as Simon gets 'em. Obviously it all hangs on the drummer situation. (Posted by Paul 26/4/07)

February Update - Mark Leaves

We have parted company with our bassist Mark. His replacement is Simon. Mark (formerly of metal monsters 'Not For Glory') came to us when myself and Gaz were busy piecing the band back together in June '06. We were in such a mess at that point that I was suprised that he kept coming back week after week! On behalf of myself, Gaz and Arup, I'd like to wish Mark all the best for the future. January 2007 - What We've Been Up To So Far

We started rehearsing again very early in January 2007, we've been refreshing our memories with the old material and have a few newies in the pipeline. We've finished one new song called 'The Death Of Freedom' which is about the state nosing away in our private lives and their ever increasing attempts to keep their eyes on us and track our whereabouts, nosey fuckers. We also have the very AC/DCish 'Scrapheap Blues' on the go as well as plenty of other ideas we are currently booting around the rehearsal room. Basically we are climbing the fucking walls waiting to get out and play live again, personally for me, April can't come fast enough. I've also got plenty of new info to post on this website over the coming months, I might even get round to sorting the sodding lyrics page. Be sure to check it out. (Posted by Paul 24/1/07)
