THE BLISSETTS HIT NOTTINGHAM IN NOVEMBER

Yes, we know it's been a quiet year, all that is about to change however, when The Blissetts hit The Sumac Centre in Nottingham for the annual knees up in aid of Punk 4 The Homeless on Saturday 30th November 2019.

What initially started out as a very promising 2019 didn't take long to go tits up, especially after the mayhem of last years P4TH gig at The Sumac, swiftly followed by opening for the mighty Discharge at Club 85 over yonder Hitchin way.

Right at the end of 2018 we announced that we were supporting anarcho legends Conflict on home turf at The Flag in Watford in April 2019, courtesy of the Watford Punk Collective. The gig was then cancelled after The Flag became an O'Neills, who pretty much made it clear that they no longer wanted punk gigs in their pub. Sadly, this also led to the demise of the Watford Punk Collective itself.

We'd also been offered a slot opening for a huge punk band at a gig up North, we won't name them as the gig was never 100% happening and in the end, never came off. But ok then, if you must know, it would have been The Exploited.

Finally, it looked like we would finally get back onstage at this years Balstock Festival, returning after a break after the 2017 event. We knew from the outset that Bass monkey Andy couldn't do it, neither could our mate Ky, nor Ed (who's emigrated to Norfolk) so our 4th choice had to pull out at the last minute owing to Family commitments. We knew we were beat and sadly had to pull out as FA rules prohibited us from fielding more than 3 substitute bassists.

This is the 4th run of the shirt and you can grab one for £10 plus P & P and it is now only available in Small and Medium. We're still undecided as to whether we should do another run or come up with a new design. We won't be printing more of the 'Liars' shirt so if you've got one, consider yourself  lucky!! CHEERS FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN 2018

We'd like to thank everyone for their continued support throughout 2018. Another year, our 14th to be exact, not bad for a band that were told 'you won't last more than 3 months' back in 2004.

We'd like to thank Dave and his crews at Club 85 and The Green Room, Eagle, Joy and the Punk 4 The Homeless crew, Pete, Dan, Watford Jon and the rest of the Watford Punk Collective, our boy Rich and Terminal Rage, Paul and the boys from Spirit Of The Age, Alex and Rites Of Hadda, our loyal Girlfriends Pako, Janchi and Ky from Brocker, the boys from Discharge, Gurt and Negative Frame, and out ever loyal Twitter mob led by Daz, John, Sandra, Gwyn and Rich who have fought our corner every step of the way, They tell everyone about the band, regardless of if they want to hear about us or not!

DDave Longman - We're still raising a glass to you dude, say hi to Lemmy for us. Rest in peace.
