THE BLISSETTS AT DOWN ON THE FARM FESTIVAL 2017

We just wanted to say a belated thank you to everyone that showed their support for us at the Gwatkin Cider Co 'Down On The Farm' Festival back in August. We had an absolute blast! The sound on stage was fantastic, as was the front of house sound, so a very special thank you to Andy Crosby and his team for putting in a sterling performance on the sound desks!! Also a special thanks to Rich Lovell, stage manager and Blissetts cohort. But the biggest thanks goes to Denis Gwatkin for giving us another chance after last years fiasco and keeping Paul fuelled with cider for a good long while! Also thanks to Dave from Sons of Clogger and Steve from The Youth Within. Band of the weekend? Well, that would be Hereford's very own Raptor, a bloody amazing act who play proper old skool style 70's stadium rock and even managed to fit in a cover of Black Sabbaths 'Faries Wear Boots'. Awesome doesn't cover it, see these guys!!

THE BLISSETTS RETURN TO HEREFORD FOR THE HEART OF ANARCHY PUNK FEST

The Blissetts return to Hereford in November for the Heart Of Anarchy Punk Fest in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

The Heart Of Anarchy Punk Fest takes place at The Grapes Pub on Saturday 18th November 2017. We play along side fellow Watford punk band Knock Off, as well as our longtime mates Terminal Rage and Hereford's finest young up and coming punk band The Youth Within. Also on the bill are On Trial UK, Prisoners of War, Bleed, Freeborn Rising, Alvin and the Angry Barrels and Purple Flavoured Death. It's £5 on the door and kicks off around mid-day.

We should point out that this gig has been organised by Terminal Rage bassist Raphael La Roche, who sadly, lost his brother Andre to an undiagnosed heart condition ten years ago, which is why all proceeds from this gig are going to the British Heart Foundation.

For anybody not attending the gig, you can still donate money to the British Heart Foundation via the Just Giving page that has been set up for the event. Click HERE for the HOA Just Giving Fundraising page.

The Blissetts last adventure in Hereford was in 2014 when we played at the now sadly defunct Jailhouse. It was a mental night, which also featured Stoke on Trent's finest, Headsticks and local loons Abysmal. This night was historically important as it was when Paul first got his grubby hands on Gwatkin Cider, and has drank virtually nothing but, ever since! It also saw the first meeting of The Blissetts now legendary Twitter Army, believe us folks, they're not to be messed with.

THE BLISSETTS TO FINALLY MAKE IT DOWN ON THE FARM

Barring the Apocalypse or any other type of catastropic world event, The Blissetts will finally get to hit the DOWN ON THE FARM Festival, held at the Gwatkin Cider Farm at Abbey Dore in Herefordshire on the weekend of Friday 11th - Sunday 13th August 2017.

As is tradition at DOTF, the Festival is always opened by a punk band, and it's going to be THE BLISSETTS! You may remember that we were booked to open the 2016 event but had to pull out at a very late stage due to Jake being snapped up by a major band. Anyway, Paul still went to the Festival and guested with our replacements Terminal Rage (check them out, theyre punk, angry like us, but with a lot less hair) on a couple of covers of  the Sex Pistols 'Satellite' and the rabble rousing swear-fest of 'So What' by the Anti-Nowhere League. Fun was had, Cider was quaffed, we swore a lot and eyebrows were raised. Expect more of the same this year!

We play on Friday night along with Blues Band Sweet Talk and ska legends The Navarones. Also booked to play the over the weekend are fellow punks Brassick, awesome folk/punk band Under A Banner and plenty more. This Festival caters for music of all kinds, so there's something for everybody, and more importantly, Cider.

Thank You Watford!

Cheers to everyone that came down to The Flag last week, we were on very early and sadly a few people missed us, but hopefully we'll be back on home turf soon. Also a big thank you to our drummer Ajay who flew back from France on the morning of the gig and still played whilst suffering from concussion and a particularly nasty stomach bug, drummers don't come much tougher than Ajay, get well soon mate.

TThis is our first gig in our hometown since May 2015 when we stormed the place supporting the Anti-Nowhere League, which was our first appearance as a 5 piece band, so if you missed that gig, make sure you don't miss this one!!

CHEERS FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN 2016

We'd like to thank everyone for their continued support throughout 2016, in what was, to be honest, a difficult year. We had so many great gigs lined up only for them to be cancelled. Only two by us I may add, the others were down to promoters and headline bands.

We'd like to thank Mungo and the Green Room crew, Kev Saunders, G and the Balstock crew, Eagle, Joy and the Punk 4 The Homeless crew, Mothcob, David Pyper and the Hope Fiends, our boy Rich and Terminal Rage, Denis Gwatkin, Andy Tranter for the merch and out ever loyal Twitter mob led by Daz, John and Sandra who have fought our corner every step of the way.

NEW 'DESTRUCTION DAY v2.0' VIDEO UP ON YouTube

We have a new live version of our (now radically different) first ever single 'DESTRUCTION DAY v2.0' up on YouTube.

It was recorded at The Sumac Centre in Nottingham last November when we played in aid of Punk 4 The Homeless and it's respectfully dedicated to the heroes from Sea Shepherd. Enjoy!
