We will not be undertaking any gigs before the ANL gig, we will be releasing a full statement in the next few weeks which will detail the reasons why. Anyone who wants to put us on from May 2015 onwards, please drop us an email.

THE BLISSETTS HIT HEREFORD AND WATFORD

The Blissetts hit Hereford for the first time on Saturday 18th October for a gig at The Jailhouse and then return to Watford for what will probably be the last gig of 2014. The Jailhouse gig in Hereford sees us line up alongside Stoke based folk punk band Headsticks who are currently on tour supporting their new album. Also playing are local Hereford cider swilling loons Abysmal, whom we have got to know quite well over the last year. This gig promises to be a total riot. It's £4 on the door and kick off is at 7pm. Here's the link for the Facebook event if you want to invite yourself along!

Full details of the Watford gig will be announced shortly, but we play at The Flag on Saturday 29th November. The line up so far includes The Blissetts, Toxins and The Spacewasters with a lot more TBC.

Following on from the 'Battle of Boston' way back in May this year, The Blissetts return to Baldock for the 2014 Balstock Festival, Hertfordshire's best FREE music festival which takes place from Friday 12th September to Sunday 14th September.

This year sees The Blissetts hit the corridors of power that is Baldock Town Hall on Saturday 13th, yes really, that is where we are playing!!! So come and vent your spleen along with us when we hit the stage at 5.10pm. This is going to be fun!!

So come along and support your local scene bands at one of the best FREE festivals there is, rather than the same old corporate toss spewed up at every mainstream festival. There's 200 bands over 3 days, full details on the Balstock website, and did we mention it's FREE?

0161 FESTIVAL BENEFIT COMPILATION AVAILABLE

A benefit compilation has been put together and is available from the official 0161 Festival Bandcamp page. The compilation features a massive 67 bands, or, pretty much everyone that is playing at the festival. The Blissetts track is our Anti-Fascist rant 'The Death Of Freedom'. It's a belter of a compilation featuring some massive names and is available as 'Name Your Price', yes folks, you get to decide how much you want to pay for it, or if you're a tight bastard you can download it for nothing. All profits go to the festival running costs and to various AFA groups.

THE BLISSETTS HIT CHEAP AS CHIPS 2014 FESTIVAL

We hit Boston, Lincolnshire, on Sunday 4th May 2014 to conclude our brief tour of the Midlands when we play at the 3rd Punk 4 The Homeless 'Cheap As Chips Festival'. Originally meant to take place at Anderbury Creek, just outside of Skegness, the Festival has been moved down the road to Boston after problems with the Venue. The same venue that hosted the first CAC Fest in 2011.

The Festival takes place over 2 venues, The White Hart and The Indian Queen, Camping is available at The White Hart, however most of the festival will take place up the road at The Indian Queen.

We will be linking up with loads of bands that we have played with before, including our mates Brocker, who will be smashing up The Indian Queen with us on the Sunday night. Also on the bill are Monkish, Fight-Back, whom we played with last year in Welwyn, Dischord, The Kirkz, Destination Venus, The Duel, Burning From The Inside and headliners 2 Sick Monkeys.

Also on the bill over the weekend are Freedom Faction, Born To Destruct, Black Marias, Constant Source of Disappointment, Snide, Pedagree Skum and far too many others to list here.

Brocker are on at 6.30pm and no doubt they will be onstage with us too at 11.30pm

There is no admission fee but donations are invited. So put your hand in your pocket and help Eagle and the Punk 4 The Homeless crew along with Casa Alianza actually feed starving street children instead of big fat boardroom tossers who coin a fortune from most charities!

THE BLISSETTS HIT WELWYN

We return to The Green Room in Welwyn Garden City on Saturday 29th March 2014 for a night of punk and rock which also has local bands Sonic Scream and Man Made on the bill. Doors open at 8.30pm and it's a fiver on the door. Anyone that has seen us at The Green Room will know that these gigs can be pretty mad, so we look forward to having the whole audience onstage with us again this Saturday!

FULL DETAILS FOR 0161 AND CHEAP AS CHIPS FESTIVALS TO BE POSTED ON HERE NEXT WEEK

We will be posting the final details and stage times of our gigs at the 0161 Festival and Cheap As Chips Festival next week. We play the 0161 Festival in aid of various Anti-Fascist organisations on Saturday 3rd May in Manchester and then we hit the Punk For The Homeless 'Cheap As Chips' Festival on Sunday 4th May. The CAC Fest was meant to take place at Anderbury Creek, just outside of Skegness but we understand the venue has now been changed to The Indian Queen in Boston.

The 0161 Festival also features The Oppressed, Stage Bottles, Angelic Upstarts, Autonomads, Red Alert, Los Cherees and a whole host of well known punk bands new and old. Also, this festival has a hip hop stage which will see rising rap star Kalashnekof headline on the Saturday. Also there's an acoustic and open mic stage.

Cheap As Chips features all the usual culprits, as well as us and our mates Brocker, there's Born To Destruct, Freedom Faction, Mispelt, The Duel, 2 Sick Monkeys and just about everybody on the underdog punk scene.

NEW BASSIST - JASON HOOLIGAN-BLISSETT

Our our new bassist is Jason Hooligan, guitarist with Jesus Hooligan who has downgraded from 6 strings to 4 strings. Jason is also a keen songwriter and lyricist and is already working on loads of new material with Paul.

THINK TWICE BEFORE HECKLING, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

If you don't like punk then why on earth go to a punk gig? A recent heckler got a punch on the nose from a Blissetts fan at the Hertford gig. Maybe he'll think twice before opening his mouth next time. Sadly we didn't hear him, had we of done so we would have invited him onstage to tell us to our faces what he didn't like rather than have him upset everybody else in the crowd. But something tells us that he didn't have the balls for that so chose to shout anonymously from the back.

THE BLISSETTS RETURN TO HERTFORD

We play our first gig in ages at the Corn Exchange in Hertford on Saturday 25th January 2014. We've not played at the Corn Exchange since the Strummerville gig in December 2012 and of course, the Corn Exchange was the venue of our greatest triumph when we supported the UK Subs back in November 2010. This time we support Clash tribute band 'Radio Clash' and it's going to be a belter of a gig! Tickets are available from the Corn Exchange website and also from the ticket hotline.

TEST TUBES GIG

Thanks to everyone that supported us at our gig with Peter And The Test Tube Babies, also thanks to Hostages For Smack and Peckham Rolex for putting in such great performances. Thanks to Pete for putting us on and hopefully this is the beginning of a decent scene in Watford, but as ever, these gigs need your support and the more support the scene gets, then bigger bands will also come and play in Watford.

NEW BASS PLAYER

Yes we have a new bassist, he is a familiar face to any regulars at our gigs and if you came to the gig that we did with Peter And The Test Tube Babies a few days ago then you'll know who it is! Anyway we're officially holding back on announcing him until we can find a half decent photo of him!!

We would also like to say thanks to outgoing bassist Ed who was with us for 5 years of blood, sweat and beercan football. We had many a laugh along the way and despite all the ups and downs he never lost his sense of humour! Thanks mate.

PETER AND THE TEST TUBE BABIES GIG

We have a new ticket link for our gig with Brighton's finest pissed up punk band Peter And The Test Tube Babies at The Flag in Watford on Sunday 19th January 2014. Tickets are now available from Ginger Pirate Promotions for £8 each otherwise you can take your chances on the night for a tenner on the door, best be safe and get an advance ticket. Tickets purchased from the 'Wegottickets' website are still valid. Also, due to our archaic Sunday licencing laws, the gig kicks off early with Peckham Rolex hitting the stage first at 7pm. We're on at 8.45 - 9.15pm with the Test Tubes starting at 9.30pm.
